life. That's just the type of student who flourishes in our unique

and premier amenities, along with the advantages of a Big 10 public
So think big ideas for your future (the bigger, the better!) and then get ready for a transformative education. Here, unique talents are cultivated (and often discovered), a sense of community is nurtured, and transforming you from who you are today to the person you want to be tomorrow is our number one priority.
Innovative curriculum. Admitted as a freshman, you'll begin exploring business right away in your Introduction to Contemporary Management course. Come sophomore year, you're ready to dive into a curriculum that helps you build community and choose a major.
International experience requirement. An international experience is part of the curriculum for every Carlson School student. You choose the program, and then pack your bags for an educational trip of a lifetime. When you come home, you'll have a global savvy that has no limits.
Metropolitan community. From the University of Minnesota, it's easy to get connected. The school is friends and neighbors to Fortune 500 companies, entrepreneurial start-ups, and non-profits, meaning that mentorship, internships and job opportunities abound. You're also minutes away from the best attractions and events. All within a metro area that is one of the top-rated places to live, work, and play.
Student support services. To make your life easier, Carlson provides a wide range of customized academic and career services, like a professional advisor starting freshman year, an amazing career center dedicated to business students, a laptop program with onsite support, and student organizations for almost any interest.
Hanson Hall. You won't find stuffy classrooms in Hanson Hall. Built specifically for our undergraduate program, it's both stylish and state-of-the-art: a 124,000 square foot, four-story building with 9 classrooms, 22 interview rooms, a recruiter lounge, student study rooms, and an undergraduate student lounge.
The Undergraduate Business Career Center (UBCC) will help you develop your career and connect you with business networking events. We work with businesses in Minneapolis and St. Paul to create opportunities for internships, mentorships, and research.
