 Vivian Callaway earned an MBA from the University of Minnesota in 1979. She joined General Mills later that year. Vivian was promoted to Marketing Research Director for the Betty Crocker Division in 1990 and subsequently served as Marketing Research/Consumer Insights Director for both the Snacks Unlimited and Big G Cereal Divisions.
In October 1999, Vivian was named the Corporate Director of Diversity for General Mills. In this role, she shaped the diversity strategy and initiatives for General Mills and its 11,000 employees. In recognition of its strong programs to support the success of women and broader diversity objectives, General Mills was named a recipient of the prestigious Catalyst award in 2001.
In December of 2001, Vivian was named the Consumer Insights Director for the Pillsbury USA Division, which was acquired in November of that year. She added the Baking Division to her accountabilities in June of 2004.
In July of 2005, Vivian was named the Vice President of the newly created Center for Learning and Experimentation. In this capacity, Vivian is charged with transforming the central Consumer Insights functions into a catalyst for learning and experimentation across the organization.
Vivian has served as a leader in the Arts and Social Service communities inside and outside of General Mills. She is currently on the Board of Directors for Theatre de la Jeune Lune and a member of the YWCA’S Circle of Women. |
