Students Provide Free Tax Returns for Community
Carlson School undergrads help other students and the community with volunteer tax assistance program.
A group of Carlson School undergraduate students are helping fellow students and the local community save thousands of dollars on tax preparation this year via the University of Minnesota Volunteer Tax Assistance Program (VTAP). The VTAP program, which is IRS certified, consists of about 70 students that prepare and review tax returns for no cost to students and community members with unadjusted gross incomes less than $57,000. They're expected to prepare more than 700 free tax returns this year.
