MIS Students Build House and Relationships

May 9, 2011

Carlson School students team with professionals on Habitat for Humanity project.

Five students from the Management Information Systems (MIS) program recently spent a day with prospective employers building a house for the Habitat for Humanity at the University of Minnesota.

The unique networking event provided the Carlson School students with an opportunity to meet and work with local business professionals while at the same time helping the community.

In their time together, the students and professionals constructed a garage at the Habitat for Humanity build site on 30th Street in North Minneapolis.

Habitat for Humanity at the University of Minnesota plans to continue partnering with local companies from the Twin Cities for networking builds in the coming year.
