MIS Quarterly Names New Editor-in-Chief
SOBACO faculty nominate peer for industry publication.
Professor Paulo Goes, Salter Distinguished Professor in Technology and Management, University of Arizona, was recently appointed the editor-in-chief of the MIS Quarterly starting Jan 1, 2013. Professor Goes was nominated by SOBACO director, Ravi Bapna, noting Goes' contributions to the Information Sciences (IS) community, his extensive research, and his editorial and service credentials in the IS community. His early work on robust design of databases and data-warehousing was built the foundations of Big-Data as it is manifesting today.
MIS Quarterly is one of the leading scholarly publications regarding the development of IT-based services, the management of IT resources, and the use, impact, and economics of IT with managerial, organizational, and societal implications. It is published via the Management Information Systems Center, Carlson School of Management, and the University of Minnesota.
