Martin Chorzempa, '11 BSB, Receives Fulbright Scholarship
Fulbright alumni are the recipients of 39 Nobel Prizes, 65 Pulitzer Prizes, 24 MacArthur Foundation Awards, and 15 U.S. Presidential Medals of Freedom.
Martin Chorzempa, '11 BSB, recently was awarded a Fulbright Scholarship, which he will use toward a master of arts in international relations.
"I will be researching banking regulations in Germany," he said. "This will likely involve a great deal of travel around Europe to interview the right people."
Chorzempa had initially prepared his application for the Fulbright Scholarship last summer and submitted it in October.
"It was very comprehensive, including a language evaluation, personal statement, grant proposal, and three letters of recommendation," he said. "I only recently found out that I was a finalist and that I had been granted the award."
The scholarship is sponsored by the U.S. government as a way to "increase mutual understanding between the people of the United States and the people of other countries."
