Professor Kevin Linderman is the recipient of the Academy of Management’s (AOM) 2016 Operations Management Distinguished Scholar Award. He will receive the award at the AOM annual meeting in August.

The Distinguished Scholar Award serves a dual purpose. First, it honors distinguished leaders in the field of operations management (OM). Second, it helps define the unique position of the OM division within the larger field of academic OM scholars. The OM division has long focused on an empirical, holistic approach to researching OM issues. The Distinguished Scholar Award offers an opportunity to highlight, define, and honor scholars who embrace this ideology.

Linderman is the Curtis L. Carlson Professor in Supply Chain and Operations. His expertise is in process improvement, environmental and socially responsible operations, and innovation and knowledge management.
