Gupta's Research is European Research Paper of the Year Runner-up
"Real-Time Tactical and Strategic Sales Management for Intelligent Agents Guided by Economic Regimes" honored by CIONET
"Real-Time Tactical and Strategic Sales Management for Intelligent Agents Guided by Economic Regimes," co-authored by Professor Alok Gupta, was selected runner-up for the CIONET European Research Paper of the Year award.
The paper, authored with Wolfgang Ketter (Erasmus University) along with John Collins, Maria Gini, and Paul Schrater (University of Minnesota) describes statistical models that address product pricing and inventory resource utilization decisions in real time. It was published in Information Systems Research, December 2012 (23:4).
The winner paper, "Information Technology and Firm Profitability: Mechanisms and Empirical Evidence" appeared in the March 2012 (36:1) issue of MIS Quarterly, which is published by the Carlson School.
The CIONET competition is intended to identify the European research paper that embodies excellence in rigor and relevance of research in the areas of information and communications systems and technology management. The awards were announced at the CIOCITY Conference in Brussels on June 3.
