The Carlson School moved up three spots to No. 15 in the U.S. News and World Report’s 2015 rankings of the Best Undergraduate Business Programs. In the Business Specialties rankings, three areas of the school also placed in the top 15.

U.S. News ranked the Carlson School third in Management Information Systems, 11th in Marketing, and 13th in Management.

To compile its rankings, U.S. News first categorizes colleges by mission and then gathers data from them on up to 16 indicators of academic excellence. Each factor is assigned a weight that reflects U.S. News’ judgment about how much a measure matters. Finally, the colleges and universities in each category are ranked against their peers, based on the composite weighted score.
