Canadian Ambassador to Discuss the U.S.-Canada Trade Relationship
Gary Doer, Canada's ambassador to the United States, will present "The Future of the U.S.-Canada Trade Relationship" on Wednesday, June 25, from 11:45 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the Carlson School Atrium.
Canada and the United States enjoy a unique bilateral relationship, forged by shared geography, similar values, common interests, deep connections and powerful, multi-layered economic ties. Canada and the U.S. are partnering to grow their economies, meet North America's energy needs and protect their shared environment.
In addition, Canada is Minnesota's top customer, largest trading partner, and northern neighbor. Today, more than 180,000 Minnesota jobs depend on trade and investment with Canada.
Ambassador Doer will address these topics as he talks about the future of the U.S.-Canada partnership and its impact on Minnesota.
Registration is required for this event, which is sponsored by the Canada-Minnesota Business Council and the Consulate General of Canada with the Center for International Business Education and Research (CIBER).
