Paul Ma is an Assistant Professor of Accounting at the Carlson School of Management. He earned a Ph.D. in economics at Stanford University in 2013, where he was the recipient of the Carl M. and Carolyn C. Franklin Graduate Fellowship. Prior to attending Stanford he received his BA in economics from the University of Chicago, and won the D. Gale Johnson Memorial Prize for outstanding undergraduate thesis in economics. In the past he has consulted for the Securities and Exchange Commission and worked as a high frequency trading analyst.
