Biography

David Quimby’s background includes extensive experience in distribution operations, supply chain management, logistics engineering and systems analysis in the private and public sectors.

As a Project Manager for a major medical device company in the Twin Cities, he was responsible for coordinating the integration activities for a business acquisition, the global relaunch of a medical device for the Australia, Canada, Europe, the Middle East and Africa business units, and a new product introduction in the U.S. market.

He has also held numerous positions in the defense and aerospace industry.  During this time David received the Chairman’s Award for Transferring Best Practices and the Global Supply Chain Award as the U.S. Professional of the Year.

David’s other academic interests include Business Process Improvement initiatives, Lean methodologies and negotiation strategies.  The later derived from his experiences with international programs requiring coordination with the U.S. State Department and foreign governments.

His academic background includes advanced degrees from the Universidad de Belgrano, Buenos Aires and Harvard University.  In addition, he has two Executive Education certificates from the MIT Sloan School of Management in Technology, Operations and Value Chain Management, and for Strategy and Innovation.

His professional certifications include the CPIM from APICS and the PMP from the Project Management Institute.
