  • Research interests: team leadership, shared leadership, and social networks in organizations; policy implementation. Applied: HR practices, public policy and business, public utilities.

Benjamin is a Ph.D. Candidate within the Department of Work and Organizations.  His research interests include shared leadership and the influence of shared leadership processes on the behavior of individuals and teams.  In addition, current projects include interdisciplinary work in energy, focusing on organizations at the intersection of business and the implementation of public policy.  Benjamin's research uses psychological, social networks, and qualitative methodologies. 

Prior to joining the Carlson School of Management, Benjamin worked in a variety of roles in government, including five years in strategic human capital management and labor relations, and three years in economic regulation and public policy related the electricity industry and public utilities.  His education includes a B.A. in business administration, a Master of Labor and Human Resources, and a Master of Public Policy and Management from The Ohio State University.
