Enno Siemsen, PhD is an Assistant Professor in Supply Chain and
Operations in the Carlson School of Management at the University of
Minnesota. He teaches courses such as ‘Project Management’ and ‘Global
Operations Strategy’ in the MBA and Executive MBA programs, and also
teaches in customized Executive Education programs. He received the
Alumni Association Award for Excellence in Graduate Teaching at the
College of Business at the University of Illinois. He is a member of
the Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences, as
well as the Production and Operations Management Society. He currently
serves as a senior editor for the Production and Operations Management
Journal, and as an associate editor for the Journal of Operations
Management and the Decision Sciences Journal. His research currently
focuses on the organization of new product development processes and
on human judgment in demand planning and forecasting; his research
papers have been published in leading outlets such as Management
Science, Organization Science and Manufacturing & Service Operations
Management. Before becoming an academic, Enno worked for a global
management consultancy in Munich, Germany, and for an electronics
manufacturer in Shenzhen, China.
