The Minnesota Executive Program is an efficient, successful method for gaining a clear understanding of the economic environment and competencies working with strategic models.

In four weeks—one week a month from September through December—you will participate in a highly energetic, interactive environment that includes discussion sessions, small group work, reflection, reading, case studies, and live cases—all designed to improve your executive capabilities. And, best of all, the program will generate immediate payback for you and your organization.

Program Details (pdf)

The program pays for itself. Of course, you must put time, attention, energy, and focus into the program, but you and your company will see an immediate payback. You'll find that you're viewing problems and opportunities from a clearer perspective. You'll discover that you can implicitly see what steps need to be taken to create a solution or take advantage of a situation. And you'll have the skills—and the additional confidence—to make the right strategic decisions.

MEP gives you the opportunity to:

  • Develop significant business strategy and leadership vision
  • Acquire a complete set of advanced business knowledge and skills
  • Work with a select network of executive peers and share best practices
  • Study with seasoned executive faculty who have produced a strong body of significant research
  • Learn successful applications as well as business theories
  • Augment the qualitative judgments and analytical techniques required to perform as an executive problem solver

Candidates for this program are senior executives who have strategic responsibilities within their organizations and have about 15 years of business experience. Participants hold titles such as CEO, COO, CFO, CIO, CLO, President, Vice President, General Manager, Director, Division Head, or Business Owner.

Admission Requirements

To enhance the overall learning experience, we seek to admit people to the program with comparable management responsibilities and diverse skills and experiences. The Admission Committee takes into account a candidate's organizational level; management experience, especially in senior management; and future responsibilities. We seek to admit senior-level candidates who reflect a broad range of industries, functions, and backgrounds to enrich the networking and learning experience.

Class size is limited to maximize classroom and team participation, so early application is encouraged. Program applications are accepted on a rolling basis and are reviewed upon submission until the program fills.
