About the Program

Are you drowning in data but lack insights? Learn how to become an analytics and AI champion within your organization and fuel a data-driven culture.

This course will teach you the art of the possible. Business analytics, including machine learning and artificial intelligence, has game-changing potential in every industry. Harnessing the power of your data can help you counteract the increasing complexity of business operations, global competitive forces, and industry disruption. This course, recommended by Fortune, will demystify key concepts in business analytics, walk through use cases in a variety of industries and business functions, and ultimately teach you how to become an analytics and AI champion at your organization.

Experience

Business Analytics for Leaders will provide valuable insights and inform strategic decision making. Through interactive discussions and activities, this two-day program will help you gain an understanding of descriptive, predictive, causal, prescriptive, and generative analytics. You will return to work with an increased capacity to create value, including when and how to partner with analytics experts. Examples include:

  • Identifying trends and patterns: Business analytics can help leaders identify patterns and trends such as segments, associations, and anomalies in customer behavior, market trends, and financial performance. This information can inform strategic decision making, reduce risks, and help leaders stay ahead of the competition.
  • Improving operational efficiency: Leaders can use business analytics to predict unplanned downtime of capital-intensive assets and identify inefficiencies in their operations.
  • Making causal data-driven decisions: By leveraging causal analytics, leaders can make more informed decisions on ROI based on objective evidence rather than intuition or guesswork.
  • Identifying opportunities: Business analytics can help leaders identify new growth opportunities and potential areas for expansion.
  • Predicting outcomes: Predictive analytics can help leaders forecast future outcomes and make proactive decisions to mitigate risks or take advantage of opportunities. Will a customer or an employee churn? Will a product be recalled? What items should be recommended to whom? Who should be targeted in a marketing campaign?
  • Leveraging potentials of Generative AI: How would Generative AI technologies (such as ChatGPT) disrupt current industries? How can leaders take advantage of these technologies to create value and competitive advantage?

This course also includes an interactive workshop during which you can define a real opportunity for your firm using the “situation, complication, key question” framework. You will return to work energized and with a sense of excitement about what questions can be answered and what projects you can recommend, lead, and/or sponsor.
