London Summer Program at the London School of Economics

Undergraduate Global Immersion in the United Kingdom
July 7, 2014 to August 15, 2014

Summer Session, Attend one or both sessions:

Session 1: July 7 - July 25, 2014
Session 2: July 28 - August 15, 2014

This is a Global Immersion offering in which students take classes directly at a partner university in a special summer session offered especially for students from outside of the London School of Economics. Students come from a diverse range of backgrounds and cultures, courses are based on regular LSE undergraduate courses, and lecturers are leading LSE faculty and expert guests.
Global Immersion programs often require students to demonstrate a high degree of independence, adaptability, and flexibility because support and service may be different from a US university. Examples of differences that exchange students should be prepared to encounter include varying housing options, the amount and timing of program details, grading based less on assignments and more on final exams, and an academic calendar that may differ significantly from the University of Minnesota.

Application and Admissions

To apply, please visit the Apply page. Students will be charged a $50 application fee. The application cycle starts on March 1 and the priority deadline is April 1. Applications for programs that do not fill by the priority deadline will be accepted on a rolling basis until full. Applications will be reviewed and students will be informed of their status within 4 weeks of the priority deadline.

LSE Summer School students have the opportunity to book accommodation in LSE's Halls of Residence, where regular year LSE students live while studying. The types of room and facilities available vary depending on the Hall but all are within easy walking distance of campus. Costs vary widely depending on location and amenities.
