Parents of Undergraduate Students

The Carlson School Undergraduate Program views parents and guardians as vital partners in establishing and maintaining a successful collegiate experience. We offer an array of resources and opportunities for your students. We want to work together with you to help our students take advantage of these opportunities, but also assist them through their challenges and obstacles.

Newsletter

We want to keep you connected to all the exciting opportunities the Carlson School has to offer for you and your student. A periodic parent newsletter will be starting soon. If you would like to be on the mailing list, please send your email address to parentcs@umn.edu.

The University of Minnesota Parent Program is a resource available to all parents of undergraduate students. The Parent Program provides regular communication on topics that help support student success, generate goodwill for the University, and promote an appropriate role for parents within the campus community. You'll find a wealth of advice about parenting a college student on the Parent Program website. You can also subscribe to parent email updates by sending your email address toparent@umn.edu.

Tuition & Fees

Tuition and fees vary based on individual factors, such as student status, residency, and college of enrollment. For information about the costs for a Carlson School student, including the tuition surcharge and collegiate fees, visit our Tuition and Financial Aid page.

One Stop Student Services also provides expert advice whenever you have a question or concern about your student's registration, transcripts, financial aid, student accounts, billing, payments and veterans benefits.

Career & Internships

The Undergraduate Business Career Center (UBCC) is dedicated to helping students find the perfect career. Parents can be supportive to their students career exploration process by encouraging him/her to explore new interests and to use the services available in the UBCC, such as meeting with a career coach, creating a resume or preparing for a job interview.

Each year the UBCC publishes an Employment Report with placement and salary statistics for the most recent graduating class.
