Academic advising is a critical part of your undergraduate experience at the Carlson School. We're here to help you set goals and guide you through the numerous opportunities available to you at the University. We'll make sure you stay on track for graduation without losing sight of how your individual goals fit into your educational experience.

Career Services

At the Carlson School, you have access to a world-class career center dedicated to undergraduate business students. The Undergraduate Business Career Center (UBCC) provides a required career skills course, career discovery, a mentorship program, and an online internship and full-time employment website built specifically for Carlson School business students. No need to worry about fighting traffic or getting lost on the way to an interview. With 22 on-campus interview rooms and 19 Fortune 500 companies right here in our backyard, many interviews are held in Hanson Hall.


While you are at the Carlson School, IT Student Services provides computer lab resources and technical support.

IT Spaces

There are two Student Help Desks:

  • Hanson Hall, Room L-103

    • This space provides technical assistance for all Carlson School students. It also is the new location for laptop repair for students who are participants of the previously-offered laptop program. The laptop program was discontinued for students entering in 2014.
  • Carlson School, Room L-112

    • This is a hybrid space that provides technical support as well as computer lab resources for all Carlson School students.

There are two Student Computer Labs that are used for general purposes:

  • Hanson Hall, Room L-102

    • The Learning Lab is a computer lab space designed to facilitate collaborative work. It incorporates both dedicated work stations and powered tables designed with laptops in mind.
  • Carlson School, Room L-112

    • This is a hybrid space that provides computer lab resources as well as technical support for all Carlson School students.

In addition, there are speciality labs located around the school that students may have access to depending on their classes and/or major.

IT Services

Technical assistance is available to all Carlson School students. Services primarily include:

  • Basic troubleshooting
  • General technology consulting
  • Virus scanning/malware detection
  • Basic computer/hardware diagnostics
  • Wireless connectivity
  • Printing
