Centerpoint September 2016
I have the privilege of serving as the CHRLS Alumni Association President for 2016-2017, and I'm looking forward to a great year! Until I joined the Alumni Board two years ago, I wasn't aware that there are more than 2,800 alumni of the HRIR program, and we're located throughout the U.S. and in at least 35 countries across the globe. We're truly an international group!
As a Board, our goals this year are to continue to strengthen the relationship between our alumni and the Carlson School, and to provide meaningful engagement opportunities for our alumni, the broader HR community, and current students through a series of initiatives. For example, our Mentoring and Professional Development committees are busy developing programming that will be offered both in-person and virtually, so you can participate no matter where you are. And, our HR Tomorrow Conference committee is hard at work with the planning of our 2017 event, which will be held on April 21.
In future issues of Centerpoint, you'll hear from our Alumni Board committee chairs, who will share more details about the exciting things they're working on. We welcome your suggestions, as well as your involvement. Please contact me at email@example.com with your thoughts.
