On Friday, September 14, at 7:00 p.m., Students Today Leaders Forever (STLF) will host its Great Annual Event at the Wabasha Street Caves. The evening will be filled with friends, food, entertainment, and energy in support of STLF's mission to reveal leadership through service, relationships, and action.

GOLD on the Move

Chris Hui, '12 BS Marketing

Upon graduating from the Carlson School, Chris had the opportunity to intern at Adidas' North America location. His role has grown within the company and he is now the Adidas Originals go-to-market sample coordinator. He assists the merchandising team in ordering, receiving, and organizing samples to meet marketing, financial and corporate growth objectives.

With a deep passion for sports and athletic footwear (has a collection of roughly 400 pairs), Chris feels right at home in Portland, Oregon where he has been able to join a company that allows him to work on what he loves.





Kahli Hoppe, '07 BSB, Marketing and Supply Chain Management

In May, Shannon graduated with her MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business. Prior to beginning her MBA program, Shannon was an engagement manager for McKinsey & Company, and also interned with New York Metropolitan Transportation Authority while completing her MBA.

She currently serves on the Undergraduate Advisory Board for the Carlson School and also has volunteered as a mentor for the past five years.

 



Lauren Froelich (McGowan), '09 BSB, Accounting, Minor is Spanish

When Lauren first graduated from the Carlson School, she took a position as an external auditor at PricewaterhouseCoopers. When an opportunity came along to work at Target Corporation, Lauren shifted gears and moved into a process analyst, reputation assurance role. In this role, she works on the internal audit team that audits the corporate functions, with a specific focus on the law, marketing, and community relations group.






Matthew Larson, '08 BSB Finance

In early July, Matthew moved back to his home state of Wisconsin, relocating to Milwaukee. Matthew looks forward to all that comes with again living in Wisconsin, including being closer to family and friends, and of course, specialty beer and cheese.

Following two years as a consultant in Deloitte Consulting's strategy practice, Matthew has now been on Robert W. Baird's consumer/retail team as an equity research associate covering retailers since 2010. He enjoys golf, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.

Gopher Volleyball Ranked 16th in AVCA Preseason Poll

The University of Minnesota volleyball program is ranked 16th in the preseason poll, recently announced by the American Volleyball Coaches Association. Defending national champions, UCLA, took the top spot and 54 first-place votes, while Texas and Penn State round out the top three
