Alum Receives Wall Street Women Trailblazer Award
Mee Warren, '01 BSB, was recognized by Traders Magazine among the top women professionals in the trading community. She earned the magagine's Wall Street Women Trailblazer Award for overcoming barriers to advance her career on the buy and sell sides of the traditionally male-dominated finance industry.
Carlson School Grad Named among Best and Brightest MBA Students
Sara Moret, ’16 MBA, was recently named one of Poets & Quants' Best & Brightest MBAs in the Class of 2016. The list acknowledges students who have had excellent leadership and academic achievements in their MBA program. Moret will be working at Bain & Company as a consultant after graduation.

Carlson School Alum Elected to Pro Football Hall of Fame
Former University of Minnesota quarterback Tony Dungy, '78 BSB, was elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame on February 6. He will be the seventh former Gopher enshrined.
Dungy played for the Gophers from 1973-76 and was the team captain in 1976. He was inducted into the M Club Hall of Fame in 1998 and was named Minnesota's MVP in 1975 and 1976. He also was a two-time Academic All-Big Ten selection.
7 Carlson School Leaders Chosen for 40 Under 40 List
The Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal annually honors top business and community leaders in the Twin Cities with its 2016 40 under 40 list. Seven Carlson School alumni and staff were chosen among 550 nominations, and recognized for their professional achievements and community engagement.

Wells Fargo President, Chairman, and CEO John Stumpf, '80 MBA, has been selected by investment research firm Morningstar as CEO of the Year. He earned the honor by leading Wells Fargo to continued success amid the 2008 financial crisis.

Alum Receives The Order of the Rising Sun from Japanese Emperor
Mirja Hanson, ’90 MBA, was conferred on The Order of the Rising Sun, Gold Rays by the emperor of Japan on April 15, 2015. As the consul general of Japan at Minneapolis, this award recognized Hanson’s work to strengthen cross-cultural understanding between the United States and Japan.
Alumni Launch Hard Cider Start-Up
David O’Neill, ’15 BSB; and Gunnar Scharf, ’15 BSB co-founded hard cider company Northern Ciderworks through their group’s senior capstone project. Their first cider, Lionheart, can now be found in five liquor stores across the metro.
