By matching graduate students with alumni and HR practitioners from the community, the mentorship program provides students with opportunities to learn from professionals, build connections with the HR community, and plan successful careers. The program also forms stronger links between alumni, the HR community, students, and the Center for Human Resources and Labor Studies. Mentors typically meet with students monthly throughout the program, and all participants are invited to attend additional events such as HR Tomorrow and Professional Development Workshops sponsored by the CHRLS Alumni Association.
